Lee Ann Wolfin, Biography
Born and raised in Vancouver
Lee Ann has had a love of art and photography since childhood.
Self-taught in Oil, Acrylic watercolor. Her Favorite subjects are flowers in the summer and skiers in the winter after being inspired by the Winter Olympics in 2010 when she focused more on Photography which became her passion. Her camera is her companion. It goes with her everywhere including work which takes her into the mountains looking for gold and copper.
Lee Ann wanted to expand into abstract art and became fascinated with rusting metal. Having worked in the mining exploration industry she is inspired by rusting mining equipment at local mine sites such as The Brittania Mine and The Bralorne Mine in British Columbia. Lee Ann prints her photos of rusting metal on metal.
Lee Ann participates in ART! VANCOUVER yearly and exhibits at Hollyburn Country Club. She has had her first solo exhibit at the Joan Dean Gallery in Gastown, has exhibited in The Ocean Gallery in West Vancouver, Spirit of the Cove in Deep Cove, CIBC in North Vancouver, and in Paris France. Past Art shows include The Jewish Festival at Granville Island and The Har El Art Show.
Her art can be found in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Kingston, Paris, Phoenix, Maui, Point Roberts, Vancouver and Australia.
